Planning for the future and not living in the present has a distinct way of humbling you. In a difficult, results-based game where often the champion is the club with the right balance of youth and experience, having a young team doesn’t cut it. It does not matter how big your club is, it’s history, or how many fans you have.

The best balance is where we find Juventus. Also in this tier we find Napoli. The reasoning behind these two clubs success this season will come because of their proven goal scorers, strong midfields, as well as a good defense. Age-wise they are also primed to win. Both of these clubs compete in the Champions League group stage as a result of their convincing performances last season. They obviously lead the pack this season.

Second tier we find Fiorentina and Roma. Two clubs who had to sell before they could buy, but bought well adding both a mix of youth and experience to their ranks.
