Serie A looks to be a tough one for all teams, certainly tougher than last season. Where does this leave Inter, one of the bigger clubs struggling to find success? With many new faces these days at Inter there are also many more reasons to believe that Inter’s upcoming campaign will be a good one.
Walter Mazzarri
Singlehandedly, the greatest signing in Serie A this offseason. A coach who doesn’t know how to fail, always on the good end of the stick. When Mazzarri was presented to the press in June he responded to the following remark — Dieci anni in Serie A, senza esoneri — with a smile and a shrug. Mazzarri now works under president Moratti who has previously sacked 19 managers, the most for any currently serving Serie A club owner.
Walter is a very competent manager. Although technically being coach of Inter for 10 days, from the start he’s made a point of how necessary athletic preparation is to his team’s success. “For me, it’s sacred” he claimed. It will definitely be interesting to see how this training goes as Inter plays only on Sundays with no European competition.
